Shock Absorber for KitchenAid Tilt-Head Stand Mixer, Polyurethane Anti-Bounce Stabilizer

This little doo-dad definitely did as promised and it stopped the head wobbling on my 5qt kitchenaid mixer. It is slightly too tight of a fit for the mixer though. I now have to push the head down really hard, while simultaneously pulling the headlock knob into place in order for it to close now. I’m not sure what kind of damage that will do to the handle mechanism over time and it’s also kind of a pain in the butt. This might fit a little better if it was shaved down just the slightest amount. Thankfully with it being made of rubber, it can be squeezed and manipulated into place to get away with such a tight fit, but maybe only get this for the bigger mixer. With this thing in place now, I have also noticed that even with the lock in place, the mixer top kind of sits at an angle now so it’s not really reaching the bottom of the bowl anymore.. but, at least it isn’t wiggling everywhere? You be the judge on what you would prefer.

This Shock Absorber was easy to install just remove one screw from the tilted head and install the Shock Absorber back with the screw. Helped my mixer from shaking like it was before the addition of this product.
