Presto 09909 Pressure Cooker Sealing Ring

This seal was perfect to replace a very brittle lid seal on an old pressure cooker. Allows the unit to continue being used and not tossed in the trash. As the saying goes, they don’t make things like they used to, and this goes for my older pressure cooker too.

I have an old National Presto cooker model 40. At first I thought the seal was too big, It would not seat itself easily.I lightly coated it with some mineral oil and started slowly pressing the hump round and round and round. It took a while but it finally evened out and the seal fit snug as it should.
