This is a complete kit to replace your shower screen on one of the compatible machines. Many people don’t realize the shower screen and gasket are replaceable, and at a minimum, I’d argue that the latter is something that should be changed out once in a while as part of normal maintenance. You simply unscrew the center screw (it might be reverse threaded), take a small dental pick or screwdriver to pull down the shower screen. Now, do the same for the gasket, but be careful it might be tight. Now, just install the new parts in reverse. You only need to finger-tighten the center screw and don’t go overboard because sometimes it’s hard to know when to stop. If the new gasket is not the same thickness as your old one, you might feel your portafilter fitting tighter. Over time, this will soften up.
