In my photo, you can see this flat beater pictured on top of my original, KitchenAid brand beater. There are very subtle differences, but I think this beater should still work well.I have the two beaters lined up at the point where the neck/shaft meets the top of the wedge/triangle. The neck/shaft of this beater is a little shorter than the KitchenAid one, but the wedge/triangle portion is slightly longer. Taken together, the two beaters are almost exactly the same length, just proportioned ever so slightly differently. The wedge on the one in this order is also a millimeter or two wider than the brand name one, as a way of adjusting for the slightly different neck length.The attachment inside the neck fits my mixer perfectly. As far as I can tell, the beater fits smoothly inside my mixer bowl, clearing all the way around by a millimeter or two, without touching anywhere. In short, a hair different but equally effective.The quality seems good – solid and weighty, and the coating feels really solid and secure. I think it will be great, and it’s a lot lower in price than the brand name equivalent.
